John A. Terrill II was elected as the president-elect of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel at the organization's annual meeting.
He is set to be elected to a one-year term as ACTEC president.
Terrill is a founding partner in the West Conshohocken and Philadelphia firm of Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager, a 16-attorney boutique trusts and estates, tax planning and fiduciary firm.
Terrill's practice largely focuses on estate planning for clients with complex assets, such as businesses, real estate and other significant assets.

Martin Law partner Al Carlson was selected to serve a two-year term on the nominating committee of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association.
The nominating committee works to fill the officer positions and board vacancies within the PTLA.
Carlson is a partner of Martin Law and has practiced exclusively in workers' compensation law since 1992.
In addition to maintaining his caseload, Carlson is a guest lecturer at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in the area of Pennsylvania workers' compensation.

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young partner Christopher W. Rosenbleeth served as a moderator at Bisnow's Philadelphia capital markets and real estate finance event on March 15.
Rosenbleeth moderated the panel, “Debt and Equity Markets and Investing in Philadelphia,” which discussed capital market trends in Philadelphia and real estate finance.
He is chair of Stradley Ronon's real estate practice group.
He represents banks and other lenders, equity investors, developers, corporate clients and strategic and financial investors in their real estate, finance and investment activities.

Gawthrop Greenwood attorney Carl W. Heckert presented on “Wills, Medical and Financial Powers of Attorney and the Advanced Health Care Directive” before the producers networking group of the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce held March 15.
Licensed in Delaware and Pennsylvania, Heckert is a partner at Gawthrop Greenwood whose practice focuses on business, real estate, family and estate law.
He is based in the firm's offices in Greenville, while also available to clients in West Chester.

It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fisher Phillips.
The new organization is co-headed by attorney Rick Grimaldi in Philadelphia.
Grimaldi has experience representing clients before regulatory agencies and knows how the legislative process works at various levels of government.
Grimaldi is the co-chair of the Fisher Phillips government relations practice group.
He is the former deputy general counsel to Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge and former chief counsel of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
The services provided by FP Advocacy include: legislative advocacy, bill drafting and analysis, grassroots development and coalition building, strategic planning, legislative history analysis, political activity, monitoring legislative and regulatory proposals, and budget advocacy.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
