On March 15, Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads retired partner Harry Carl Schaub hosted an art exhibit in the firm's Justice Roberts Room.

The exhibit displayed artwork by Austrian artists Sabine Schwarz and Wolfgang Uranitsch.

Elected and Appointed

Dion Rassias of The Beasley Firm was appointed to serve as a member of the Disciplinary Board of Pennsylvania beginning April 1.

Rassias previously served the Disciplinary Board as a hearing committee member from 2010-16.

As a Philadelphia trial lawyer, Rassias has tried and settled cases involving medical and professional malpractice, defamation and false light, civil rights violations, discrimination and harassment and personal injury.

Speakers

On April 18, Rogowski Law owner Patricia Rogowski is set to join U.S. District Judges Mitchell S. Goldberg and Mark A. Kearney as well as Robert S. Silver of Caesar Rivise and Frank A. Mazzeo of Ryder, Lu, Mazzeo & Konieczny to present a CLE program titled “Patent Infringement Litigation in the U.S. District Court.”

The program is scheduled to take place at the Joseph Ambler Inn in North Wales and it is jointly sponsored by the Bucks County and Montgomery County bar associations.

Dilworth Paxson attorneys Darwin R. Beauvais, chair of the firm's zoning and land use practice group, and Meredith L. Ferleger are scheduled to speak at the “Philadelphia Zoning & Land Use 2018: A Primer on Process, Tactics and Inner-Workings of Philadelphia Development” seminar at the Philadelphia Bar Association from noon to 3:15 p.m. on April 19 at the Philadelphia Bar Association's office.

This session offers three CLE credits.

Beauvais concentrates his practice in zoning and land use as well as local government affairs.
In his practice, he works closely with elected officials and municipal agencies for the benefit of his clients.

Ferleger focuses on zoning, land use and real estate law, representing residential, commercial, financial and institutional clients

Primitivo J. Cruz joined Capehart & Scatchard as a new shareholder in the regulatory and governmental affairs department in its Trenton, New Jersey, office.

Cruz advises clients on employment, administrative/regulatory and complex litigation matters.
His practice focuses on employment-related matters, including counseling and litigation of issues involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage-and-hour disputes, contractual breaches and claims involving restrictive covenants and employee recruitment practices.

He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

He is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, American Bar Association and the Union League of Philadelphia.
