Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young partner Joseph J. McHale was appointed chairman of the Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital Foundation board on March 14.
McHale, partner-in-charge of Stradley Ronon's Malvern office, is chair of the products liability and life sciences practice group. He also represents pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers, pharmacists, physicians, businesses and individuals with personal injury claims.

McNees Wallace & Nurick attorney Lois B. Duquette is scheduled to present at the Professional Manufacturing Confectioners Association's 72nd annual Production Conference on April 17 at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square and Lancaster County Convention Center.
She will be speaking on “Why an Attorney Should Be Part of Your Innovation Team.”
Her presentation will discuss the variety of legal issues that should be considered when launching a new food product.
Duquette is a member of the intellectual property and food and beverage practice groups.
She counsels clients in the areas of trademark, copyright, trade secrets, licensing, open innovation, advertising, promotions and food regulation.
Prior to joining McNees Wallace, Duquette worked for 18 years as an attorney for The Hershey Co.

Klasko Immigration Law Partners' William A. Stock moderated an “Immigration Survival Guide” webinar for the Philadelphia chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management.
Attendees at the webinar learned about what to expect from 2018 in the area of immigration, and how employers can protect themselves and continue to sponsor workers from abroad to meet talent needs.

The Camden County Bar Association is set to host a seminar, “Best Practices in Mediation: Lessons From the Masters,” featuring three Blank Rome attorneys on May 14 from 3:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at IL Villaggio Restaurant in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Blank Rome partner Eric G. Fikry is scheduled to moderate the panel discussion.
Among the scheduled panelists are Blank Rome of counsel James T. Giles, a former chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and Blank Rome partner Stephen M. Orlofsky, a former U.S. district judge for the District of New Jersey.
Additional scheduled panelists include Theodore K. Cheng, Marie E. Lihotz, Francis J. Orlando Jr. and Joel B. Rosen.
The seminar will provide an overview of federal and Superior Court rules governing court-annexed mediation processes, and will cover how to prepare yourself and your clients for mediation, effective use of written mediation submissions, negotiating with uncooperative parties, issues relating to documenting settlements, and ethics issues in mediations for both neutrals and advocates.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
