Lobbyists should not be allowed to work as campaign contributors in the Pennsylvania legislator, said two members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

State Reps. Tina M. Davis, D-Bucks, and Leanne Krueger-Braneky, D-Delaware County, posted a memo that said they would sponsor legislation that would ban lobbyists from serving as campaign consultants, having a financial interest in a campaign-consulting firm or receiving “anything of value” for campaign-related work.

“All too often lobbyists influence the decisions of legislators who they helped to elect,” said Davis and Krueger-Braneky in their joint memo, and that “the aforementioned practice contributes to a culture of corruption.”
