A federal judge has shaved down a Fair Credit Reporting Act lawsuit against a Pennsylvania-based student loan provided, allowing a leaner version of the case to move forward.

Plaintiff Ramsey Coulter claimed the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency violated the act by providing inaccurate information to credit bureaus, failing to conduct a reasonable investigation after being notified that its information was in dispute, and failing to correct the inaccurate information, according to U.S. District Judge Joseph Leeson’s opinion.
