The Pennsylvania Senate passed an amendment that allows a political candidate or committee that ends its financial activity to disperse its funds to a nonprofit.

The amendment also included a definition of a nonprofit as an organization qualified by the IRS as meeting the requirements of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and is not affiliated with a candidate or the chairman or treasurers of a political committee, including a family member of the candidate, chairman or treasurer.
