On May 17, William R. Caroselli died.

Caroselli earned a scholarship to Brown University, where he played varsity football, and later earned a J.D. from Dickinson School of Law in 1966. This became the foundation that launched a legal career that spanned over five decades.

Caroselli was the founding member of the law firm Caroselli, Beachler & Coleman. He served as president of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He was chairman of the Disciplinary Board of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

He impacted the business and cultural community with leadership and vision serving as chairman of the board of WQED, and the Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania and as a board member of the Pittsburgh Opera, according to a press release.
