Martin Law associate Mary LeMieux-Fillery joined the board of the Philadelphia Bar Reporter.
She heads the long-term disability department at Martin Law.
She has been practicing exclusively in disability insurance law (Employee Retirement Income Security Act) for the past 10 years.
Prior to joining the firm she worked at an employment and disability law firm where she established a long-term disability practice group.
She received her law degree from the University of Denver College of Law.

Post & Schell elected five new principals in the firm's casualty, professional liability and workers' compensation practices.
John W. Croumer is now a principal in the firm's casualty litigation department in its Lancaster office.
His practice focuses on casualty litigation, representing both individual and commercial clients.
Evan D. Dalzell is now a principal in the firm's workers' compensation department in its Pittsburgh office.
He has focused his practice on handling Pennsylvania workers' compensation matters, including investigating and litigating disputed claims and counseling employers of all sizes, as well as their insurance carriers and third-party administrators, on strategies and best practices to minimize their financial exposure.
Donna Nadel Kramer is now a principal in the firm's professional liability department and medical malpractice defense practice group in its Philadelphia office.
Her practice focuses on the defense of physicians, nurses, hospitals, health systems and other health care providers in litigation involving alleged malpractice and/or negligence.
Erin A. Padovani is now a principal in the firm's workers' compensation department in its Philadelphia office.
Padovani has dedicated her practice to the defense of workers' compensation claims.
Heather J. Zambelli is now a principal in the firm's workers' compensation department in its Pittsburgh office.
Zambelli dedicates her practice to counseling and defending employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators in workers' compensation matters throughout Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Chartwell Law attorney Lee S. Fiederer presented at the 2018 Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Regional Judges' Conferences on May 3 in Philadelphia and on May 16 in Malvern.
Fiederer presented on “Medical Marijuana and Workers' Compensation.”
Fiederer focuses his practice on the defense of workers' compensation disputes.
He represents national, regional and local insurance carriers, as well as self-insured employers, large deductibles, captives, pooled insureds and third-party administrators and brokers.
His clients span across industries, including health care, security and power companies, as well as placement agencies.
Fiederer formerly served as in-house counsel for a national insurance company.

Ned Hark, a partner of the law firm of Goldsmith, Hark, and Hornak in Philadelphia, was a co-course planner for the Family Law Institute presented by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
He was also a presenter for the Pennsylvania domestic relations practice course.
Hark, a past chair of the family law sections of both the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia bar associations, is a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
He has also chaired and served as a member of the Lawyer Referral and Information Service Oversight Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The case, assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor, is 3:24-cv-00630, Secker, Nathan v. Epic Systems Corporation.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
