• On Sept. 17 through Oct. 5, the Philadelphia Bar Association's DLSC pro bono subcommittee is set to host one-hour “pro bono road shows” at participating law firm and corporate offices throughout Philadelphia to highlight pro bono opportunities and recruit new volunteers. The road shows will feature pro bono agencies such as Education Law Center, Homeless Advocacy Project, Legal Clinic for the Disabled, Mazzoni Center, Military Assistance Project, Pennsylvania Innocence Project, Philadelphia VIP, Public Interest Law Center, SeniorLAW Center and Support Center for Child Advocates. Road shows may be scheduled at 8:30 a.m. or noon. • On Sept. 20, the Support Center for Child Advocates is scheduled to present “The Children's Docket 2018—Session 5: Adoption Series: Part II—Best Interest Hearing.” The training series is specifically designed for Child Advocates volunteer attorneys and is meant to provide more detailed information about handling a child abuse case and how to prepare for particular hearings. All sessions take place from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. at the Support Center for Child Advocates, 1617 JFK Blvd., Suite 1200, Philadelphia. • On Sept. 24, the Support Center for Child Advocates is set to host its 13th annual Child Advocates Golf Classic from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Philadelphia Cricket Club, featuring a fun-filled day of golf, lunch and cocktail party. All proceeds from the event support the SCCA special project, Children with Complex Medical Needs, an initiative led by a staff attorney and social worker who team with specially trained volunteer lawyers to secure necessary medical treatment, special education, rehabilitation services and permanent nurturing homes for young clients that have serious or chronic medical needs. • On Sept. 24, Philadelphia is scheduled to present a volunteer training program from noon to 2 p.m. at Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, 2005 Market St. The program will provide an overview of Philadelphia landlord/tenant law, as well as practical information for representing a client in an eviction dispute in Municipal Court. • On Sept. 26, the Education Law Center is set to host its annual celebration to honor the outstanding champions of public education, at 5:30 p.m. in the Crystal Team Room, 100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia. ELC will salute 2018 honorees, including GlaxoSmithKline; Kevin Bethel; The Attic Youth Center; and pro bono counsel Amy Ufberg, Marissa Tribuiani and Michelle Nguyen from Dechert. • On Sept. 26, the Young Lawyer's Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association is set to host “Striking Injustice: The Bar Abides,” a bowling fundraiser that benefits the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at North Bowl, 909 N. J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Susan K. Declercq, is 2:24-cv-13131, The Town Residences LLC v. T-Mobile US, Inc. et al.
