Senate Confirms Trump's Judicial Pick for Western District of Pa.
The U.S. Senate voted on seven federal district court nominees Tuesday, including President Donald Trump's choice for a district court seat in the Western District of Pennsylvania.

The U.S. Senate voted on seven federal district court nominees Tuesday, including Susan Paradise Baxter, President Donald Trump's pick for a district court seat in the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Baxter, a federal magistrate judge since 1995, served as chief magistrate judge for the district from 2005 until 2009. Before her appointment to the bench, she served as solicitor for Erie County and as a partner in a Washington, D.C., law firm. She was confirmed Tuesday by voice vote.
Senators also confirmed by voice vote Tuesday were R. Stan Baker to the Southern District of Georgia, Terry Moorer to the Southern District of Alabama, Barry Ashe to the Eastern District of Louisiana, James Sweeney II to the Southern District of Indiana, and Nancy Brasel to the District of Minnesota.
