Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott added member Monakee D. Marseille to its Philadelphia office and litigation division.
She is a member of the mass tort practice group, which includes the defense of toxic tort, products liability and personal injury matters.
She currently serves as national coordinating counsel of an international manufacturer of naval and commercial equipment.
Prior to joining Eckert Seamans, Marseille defended mass tort claims for a high-profile manufacturer of aircrafts within the aviation litigation practice group of a global law firm.
Marseille earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2001.

Pennsylvania's veterans treatment courts, now up and running in 19 counties in addition to Philadelphia, is set to be the subject of a half-day program at Widener University Commonwealth Law School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 28.
The session is presented by Widener Law Commonwealth, the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts Problem-Solving Courts Division and Lt. Gov. Mike Stack's veterans task force.
It is co-sponsored by the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association, the Middle District of Pennsylvania chapter of the Federal Bar Association, the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania and the Dauphin County Bar Association.
Free of charge, the session includes lunch and offers three continuing legal education and continuing judicial education credits.

Blank Rome partnered with Take Action Philly to host a refugee adjustment of status training Tuesday at the firm's Philadelphia office.
Following this training, volunteers are scheduled to attend an upcoming legal clinic to assist refugees with preparing and filing applications for adjustment of status to Legal Permanent Residents (green card holders).
This training is part of the Philadelphia Office of Immigrant Affairs' Welcoming Week 2018, being held September 14-24.
A national initiative, Welcoming Week builds common ground in Philadelphia's communities to encourage dialogue and forge relationships between immigrants, refugees and U.S.-born citizens.

Lorena E. Ahumada of Kleinbard LLC joined the Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha Inc. board of directors.
The Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of community residents through direct service and outreach in the Philadelphia region.
The association offers bilingual and culturally sensitive social services related to education, health, human services and community and economic development.
Ahumada is of counsel in the litigation department of Kleinbard LLC.
She concentrates her practice in the areas of employment litigation and counseling, complex commercial litigation and insurance coverage law.
She also represents both private and public entities in white-collar criminal and regulatory investigations.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
