Robert R. Watson Jr., a shareholder in Eastburn and Gray's construction law practice group and a member of the firm's management committee, is set to serve as faculty at the fall conference of the Pennsylvania Association of Fire Equipment Distributors in Gettysburg on Thursday.
His seminar will cover Pennsylvania's public and private construction payment acts, including the 2018 amendments.
With nearly 20 years of experience representing clients from all aspects of the construction industry, Watson is a lecturer on construction law-related topics.
In 2016, he was selected to work with Pennsylvania officials to launch the Pennsylvania State Construction Notices Directory website, which provides some additional protections under the Mechanics' Lien Law.

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young partner Andrew K. Stutzman served as a panelist at the MBA's Regulatory Compliance Conference in Washington, DC.
Stutzman contributed to the litigation forum, which featured an overview and update on the latest cases and issues impacting mortgage lending.
He also contributed to the MBA's legal issues and regulatory compliance committee meeting. Stutzman is a Philadelphia trial lawyer who founded the financial services litigation practice at Stradley Ronon.
He resolves complex disputes through litigation, especially finance-related matters.
He has tried civil cases of diverse subject matters in many state, federal and alternative dispute resolution courts throughout his career and assisted in the defense of government investigations and criminal proceedings.

Klasko Immigration Law Partners is set to host an educational program on behalf of Women Owned Law from noon to 2 p.m. on Oct. 30 at its offices, titled “There Are Riches in Niches.”
Attendees at the free luncheon will learn how lawyers have chosen to go deep in niches and in doing so have become the “go-to” lawyers for their practice areas of law.
The scheduled speaker is Stacy West Clark of Stacy Clark Marketing.

Clark started her consulting firm over 25 years ago at the request of law firm clients.
Prior to that, Clark served as the first director of client relations for Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, then the country's fourth-largest law firm.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The case, assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor, is 3:24-cv-00630, Secker, Nathan v. Epic Systems Corporation.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
