|Duane Morris partner Sandra A. Jeskie was appointed a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
She was also named to the Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center (SVAMC) 2018 Tech List, a listing of the world's top technology neutrals.
CIArb is an international center for alternative dispute resolution with 15,000 members across 133 countries.
Jeskie has experience as a litigator, arbitrator, mediator, judge pro tempore and special master to the courts in a variety of technology and commercial disputes.
Her practice includes commercial litigation, software, IP and IT litigation, privacy, data security and information technology.
Jeskie is chair of the firm's information technologies and telecom practice group. She served as president of the International Technology Law Association and is a member of the American Arbitration Association's roster of neutrals.

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young attorney Shawn A. Hendricks was appointed to the executive committee of Justice Rising Advocates on Oct. 16.
JRA, the young professionals' development organization of Community Legal Services Inc., uses substantive service and networking opportunities to engage young Philadelphians by broadening their understanding of CLS's work and why advocacy is crucial to the fight for access to justice for all.
Hendricks focuses his practice on counseling investment companies (including mutual funds, closed-end funds, and exchange-traded funds), private funds and investment advisers in connection with various regulatory, compliance and transactional issues.
He provides analysis for investment management clients in all aspects of legal representation, including: preparing regulatory filings; drafting and reviewing registration statements and proxy solicitation materials; researching various securities and corporate law issues; and drafting corporate policies and compliance procedures.

Pennsylvania Trust, a wealth management firm in the Philadelphia region, announced that Eileen F. Carroll joined the firm.
Carroll joined the special needs trust and guardianship department as special needs trust and guardianship officer.
She has more than 10 years of experience working in public interest law on behalf of children and clients with disabilities.
In her new role, Carroll will be responsible for providing support to the department and for administering client accounts.
Carroll previously served as staff attorney at Legal Clinic for the Disabled, where she worked for eight years representing clients with physical disabilities in wide-ranging civil legal matters. Carroll also developed and launched a medical-legal partnership with St. Christopher's Hospital for Children called PhilaKIDS MLP. As legal director for PhilaKIDS MLP, she integrated legal services into a clinical health care setting, in addition to identifying the need for advance planning for pediatric patients approaching adulthood with special health care needs.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

Amy O. Bruchs and Kurt F. Ellison of Michael Best & Friedrich have entered appearances for Epic Systems Corp. in a pending employment discrimination lawsuit. The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The case, assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor, is 3:24-cv-00630, Secker, Nathan v. Epic Systems Corporation.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
