Dilworth Paxson attorney James H. Landgraf is set to be a panelist for a National Business Institute CLE program titled “Construction Contracts from Start to Finish” on Dec. 4.
He will be presenting a segment titled “Indemnification Provisions: When Are They Enforceable.” The full program is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with Landgraf's portion from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m., at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia-Cherry Hill, 2175 Marlton Pike West, Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Landgraf has more than 30 years of experience handling construction and related real estate contracting, construction litigation, and complex commercial and business litigation. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Capehart Scatchard held a “Jeans Month” fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc.
To support the cause, attorneys and staff were asked to donate $25 to wear jeans to work for the entire month of October.
For those employees who did not wish to participate the entire month, a $2 donation was requested every day they wore jeans to the office.
The firm announced that “Jeans Month” raised $1,379 for NBCF.

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young partner Christopher W. Rosenbleeth was appointed to Spark Philadelphia's executive board Nov. 1.

Rosenbleeth is chair of Stradley Ronon's real estate practice group.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
