This year marks both the 175th anniversary of The Legal and a decade since the start of the Great Recession.

That those two milestones have coincided is noteworthy. As the oldest law journal in the United States, The Legal has chronicled nearly two centuries of changes to the legal profession, but in all that time there arguably has been no more transformative a period than the past 10 years.
