Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock Dodig attorney Roberta D. Pichini, a past president of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, participated in a meeting with the heads of the bar associations of Mexico in October in Mexico City to craft initiatives on legal issues of mutual concern.

She, along with Howard Scher, also of Philadelphia, represented the IATL in identifying issues and crafting ways to work together collaboratively.

Pichini focuses her practice in the area of obstetrical malpractice, representing brain-injured children, patients who have suffered from a delay in diagnosis of cancer, emergency room errors, patient abuse by medical professionals and surgical negligence.

She also prosecutes products liability and negligence.

Tanya M. Curcio joined Ballard Spahr as of counsel.

Curcio, an intellectual property attorney, advises clients on matters involving trademark and copyright acquisition, prosecution, use, licensing and enforcement.

She develops global strategies for registration and enforcement of foreign and domestic trademarks and copyrights and handles litigation before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

She has also handled negotiations and disputes for clients in a variety of industries, particularly in the entertainment sectors. Her experience includes drafting and negotiating entertainment-based agreements, the transfer and acquisition of IP rights, trademark and copyright licenses, and music licensing.
