Barley Snyder attorney Michael Crocenzi was named to the board of directors of the York County Bar Foundation. Upon his appointment, he was elected the board's treasurer.
The foundation is the charitable arm of the York County Bar Association. Together, the two groups aspire to build the organizations' capacity for leadership and service to improve the legal profession, the community they serve and the administration of justice in society.
Crocenzi is a member of the firm's employment and litigation practice groups and the food and agribusiness industry group.

Constance K. Nelson, attorney with Gross McGinley, was appointed president of the board of directors for North Penn Legal Services, a nonprofit organization providing civil legal aid to low-income residents of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
As president, Nelson will help lead the board in serving as an ambassador for the organization while promoting the NPLS mission and purpose, planning and evaluating the organization's work, and establishing policies to guide that work.
North Penn Legal Services provides free legal aid services on civil cases to low-income families, individuals and groups in Northeastern Pennsylvania every day. Services include individual representation, information, referral and advice through a telephone hotline, community legal education and support for those taking responsibility for handling some or all of their own legal issues.
In her legal practice, Nelson represents individuals and businesses in litigation matters, counseling families in divorce and family law matters as well as criminal matters.
She assists families in estate matters as well, ensuring the wishes of individuals are carried out through wills, powers of attorney and advanced medical directives. Nelson serves on the board of directors for the Third Street Alliance for Women and Children and the Bar Associate of Lehigh County.

Steve Ryan joined Martin Law as an associate in the workers' compensation department. He will head the firm's new office location in Camp Hill, which is set to officially open in February.
Prior to joining the firm, Ryan worked for a regional firm in the Susquehanna Valley that helped claimants secure workers' compensation benefits.
Before practicing claimant's workers' compensation, he worked at a top defense firm. Ryan is a certified specialist in Pennsylvania workers' compensation law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Ryan received his law degree from Widener University School of Law in 2007. Ryan is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Dauphin County Bar Association and Pennsylvania Association for Justice.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The case, assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor, is 3:24-cv-00630, Secker, Nathan v. Epic Systems Corporation.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
