Elected and Appointed

Charny, Karpousis, Altieri & Donoian, a boutique firm concentrating in divorce and family law, announced senior associate Rebecca A. Berger was named partner with the firm.

Berger practiced law for 13 years and represents clients in divorce, child custody, spousal and child support, property settlement agreements, prenuptial agreements, domestic violence and municipal court matters.

Prior to joining the firm in May 2015, Berger worked as an assistant Burlington County prosecutor for seven years, handling criminal cases on behalf of the State of New Jersey.

During her four years in the domestic violence unit of the prosecutor's office, Berger trained law enforcement officers in the investigation and prevention of domestic violence. She was recently appointed co-chair of the Burlington County Bar Association family part section.

Berger is admitted to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Kleinbard announced that Mary Beth H. Gray was elected a managing partner of the firm and that Edward T. Butkovitz and Joshua J. Voss were elected partners of the firm.

Gray is the first female managing partner of the firm. She serves as a partner in the business and finance department.

Gray practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate governance, corporate restructuring and executive compensation.

Her practice has a special focus on business succession, including the sale of businesses to employee stock ownership plans and other transactions involving ESOPs.

Gray speaks at conferences on the subject of ESOPs and is a member of the ESOP Association and the National Center for Employee Ownership.

Gray currently serves as the chair of the board of directors of Covenant House Pennsylvania and is on the board of the CAPA Foundation, a foundation supporting the activities of the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts.

Butkovitz works in the firm's litigation department.

He has experience in all aspects of commercial litigation and represents businesses and individuals in a wide array of litigation involving business torts, products liability, real property disputes, contract matters, shareholder and partnership disputes, business divorce and insurance coverage.

Voss joined Kleinbard in 2016 as an associate in the litigation department and a member of the government relations and political law groups.

His practice focuses on state government litigation, appellate practice, the Right-to-Know Law and grand jury investigations.

His experience includes handling appellate matters before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Superior Court and the Commonwealth Court, as well as several matters in the Commonwealth Court's original jurisdiction.

Voss also advises clients on interactions with state government.

Additions

Dilworth Paxson announced that attorney Neil Sklaroff joined the firm as a partner in the zoning and land use and real estate practice groups.

Sklaroff, who comes to Dilworth after 17 years at Ballard Spahr, where he most recently served as senior counsel, will be based in the firm's Philadelphia headquarters.

Sklaroff's practice focuses on zoning and land use matters, real estate development, administrative law and real estate tax appeals. He counsels landowners on local, state and federal historic preservation issues.

Sklaroff represents businesses, developers, civic associations, individuals and municipalities in land use matters before administrative bodies, commissions and agencies, as well as before state and federal trial and appellate courts.

Sklaroff is a frequent author and lecturer on land use and litigation for the continuing education programs of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.

He is a current member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association and Montgomery Bar Association.

Sklaroff earned his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
