The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday denied former Congressman Chaka Fattah’s appeal related to his 2017 conviction on corruption charges that resulted in a 10-year prison sentence.

Fattah claimed in his petition for certiorari that the trial court’s alleged improper removal of a juror tainted the outcome of the case. Juror No. 12 in the case was a holdout who purportedly refused to deliberate and claimed to be willing to force a hung jury.
