Gross McGinley welcomed attorney Jason A. Ulrich to the firm.
A municipal and real estate attorney, he joins the firm as senior counsel.
Ulrich served in the capacity of solicitor for several municipal entities throughout Pennsylvania.
Ulrich practices in complex residential and commercial real estate work, from ground leasing and property assessments to landlord tenant leasing and evictions.
He also has experience in construction and building law and counsels municipalities, businesses and developers on contracts, risk assessment and avoidance, licensing, insurance coverage, property damage claims and more.
In addition to municipalities, Ulrich represents businesses across industries including retail, health care and banking in real estate, business and construction matters.
He is a member of the West Reading Zoning Hearing Board and serves as the elected tax collector for the Borough of West Reading.

Erica M. Wicas and Eric J. Stark joined Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano as workers' compensation associates.
Both attorneys have experience on the defense side of workers' compensation matters.
Prior to joining Pond Lehocky, Wicas was an associate in the Philadelphia office of a large regional defense firm, representing employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation matters.
Stark comes from a large regional defense firm in Harrisburg, where he was a partner.
He represented employers and insurers in workers' compensation and employment law matters.
He litigates workers' compensation matters from the initial claim stage through the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

David Steerman participated as a presenter/speaker at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's program titled “Valuing Antiques and Collectibles,” where his portion of the program focused on valuation in the family law setting.
The program took place at the Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia.
Steerman also participated as a co-course planner and moderator at the PBI program titled “Parenting Coordination–Get Your Parenting Coordination and Domestic Violence Training Under The New Parenting Coordination Rule.”
In addition to acting as a co-course planner, he participated as a moderator and participated in a discussion of the new rule for parenting coordinators and facilitated the required training.
The program also focused on the ethical issues and practical problems that may arise in the parenting coordination process.
The new rule for parenting coordination went into effect March 1.

Benjamin D. Wanger, associate at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis, presented a CLE on “Ethical Issues in a Litigation Practice” as part of the 2019 Civil Litigation Update for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
The program addressed key areas of civil litigation, analyzed recent important decisions from the Pennsylvania state and federal courts, and provided practice tips.
Wanger is an associate in the litigation services department.
He concentrates his practice in high-stakes complex commercial and employment litigation matters, serving both corporate and individual clients in business disputes in a variety of industries, including financial services, banking, real estate, construction, waste management, insurance and health care.
Wanger also represents clients in white-collar criminal matters and internal investigations.
He represents businesses, government bodies and individuals in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies, arbitration panels and mediation panels.
He takes cases to trial and negotiates complex settlements.
Wanger also has experience representing clients in class and collective action matters, as well as counseling and representing clients through the appellate process.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The case, assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor, is 3:24-cv-00630, Secker, Nathan v. Epic Systems Corporation.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
