Elizabeth J. Fineman, a partner with Antheil Maslow & MacMinn in Doylestown was named co-editor-in-chief of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Pennsylvania Family Lawyer magazine. Fineman shares editor duties with Judy McIntire Springer of Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel in Philadelphia.
Fineman practices exclusively in family law and handles a variety of issues, including divorce, child support, alimony/spousal support, marital taxation, equitable distribution and child custody matters.
She handles high-income support cases involving both family law and complex financial issues.

The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel announced that John A. Terrill II became president of the organization.
Terrill, a partner at Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager in West Conshohocken, succeeded ACTEC fellow Charles D. Fox IV from Charlottesville, Virginia.
Terrill was elected to ACTEC in 1991 and was an officer since 2015. He is an active participant in the work of the college and is the founding chair of ACTEC's asset protection committee.
Terrill has knowledge of asset protection planning and the international efforts to involve lawyers in the war against money-laundering and terrorist financing under the auspices of the Financial Action Task Force.
Terrill was a lecturer at The University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he taught trusts and estates, and an adjunct professor in the graduate tax program at Villanova University.

David J. Steerman, partner in the family law department at Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg, was the moderator of “Parenting Coordination in Philadelphia: What Attorneys Should Know,” a program presented by the alternative dispute resolution committee of the family law section of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
The program provided attendees with information regarding the new parenting coordination rule and how it will be implemented in Philadelphia via local rule.
Panelists also discussed parenting coordination and mediation and the consideration of and screening for any domestic violence in a case.
Lastly, panelists provided practical tips and recommendations for how best to use parenting coordination in one's case.

Language Services Associates, a provider of interpretation and language services for health care, legal, government and numerous industries, announced that attorney Scott F. Cooper joined the company as executive director and general counsel.
Cooper will assume this new position focused on developing organizational growth strategies and expansion of LSA's service lines, along with managing several business units.
He will also be directing an expanded legal and compliance function across the company and its affiliates.
Cooper will be a member of LSA's board of directors. He joins from Blank Rome, where he was firmwide co-chair of the labor and employment practice group.
Cooper has more than 25 years of experience representing publicly traded corporations, family-owned businesses, startups, partnerships, major nonprofits and government entities in the areas of labor and employment law, business transactions, regulation and commercial litigation.
He is a member of the bar of numerous courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Cooper was president/chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association, a member of the American Bar Association's executive council of the Conference of Bar Association Presidents, and a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates.
He was a member of the board of trustees of Temple University and president of the Temple University Alumni Association, and previously served as an adjunct professor at the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law.
Cooper also serves as chair to his township's ethical standards board.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
