Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young attorneys Joseph T. Kelleher, Adriel J. Garcia, Bridget Giroud and Chelsea Biemiller helped answer the phones during CBS 3's 10th annual Ronald McDonald House Charities Telethon.
In addition to the attorneys' volunteer efforts, the firm donated $15,000 to the telethon, which raised over $1.2 million for the Ronald McDonald Houses in Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey and Delaware.
The Ronald McDonald House creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families.
|Elected and Appointed
Wisler Pearlstine announced that partner Amy P. De Shong was selected as a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
The LCA is a trial lawyer honorary society, and membership is limited to 3,500 fellows.
Fellowship in the LCA is by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and ethical reputation.
De Shong is a Pennsylvania-based family law attorneys. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a national organization of approximately 1600 family law litigators and negotiators.
A past chair of the Montgomery Bar Association family law section and its continuing legal education and law reporter committees, De Shong lectures, writes and plans courses on family law matters for the Montgomery Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
She also served on the board of directors of the Montgomery Bar Association.

Bill Krekstein, a partner of Fort Washington-based Timoney Knox, received an Outstanding Presentation Award at this year's annual Conference for the Property Loss Research Bureau.
Krekstein presented on the topic “Appraisal: Pitfall or Protection” during the symposium, which is a conference for property insurers and their vendors in the U.S.
Krekstein, of Ambler, is a frequent lecturer throughout the country on various topics related to property insurance coverage.
He focuses his practice on insurance coverage law, arson and insurance fraud investigations and bad faith litigation.
He litigates cases before state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New York and in jurisdictions around the country.
He has experience defending the business practices of insurers in all stages of litigation.

Dr. Ravi K. Ponnappan is slated to present “Spinal Injuries in Workers' Comp Patients,” where he will provide an overview of spinal injuries in the workers' compensation setting.
He will focus on the anatomy, diagnosis and treatment options for spinal injuries. The course is scheduled to be held at Capehart Scatchard's Mount Laurel, New Jersey, office from noon to 1 p.m.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
