Jenkins Law Library board president Theodore “Ted” Simon officiated at the grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony of the library's new location at 1801 Market Street on April 10.

Past and present board members, attorneys and self-represented litigants participated in the festivities.

Honored

Antheil Maslow & MacMinn co-founding partner Susan Maslow received the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce Business & Arts Award at the chamber's 73rd annual Celebration Luncheon.

This is the 23rd Business and Arts Award, which is bestowed on a business person or organization that has extended itself in support of the arts in the community.

Maslow is being recognized for her commitment to the arts in Bucks County through her efforts on the many Bucks Fever Award premier events and other cultural chamber endeavors.

Maslow is a general business and transactional attorney with a history of service on a variety of local nonprofit boards, including Big Brothers Big Sisters Bucks County, Bucks County Women's Advocacy Coalition and Pearl S. Buck International.

She is active on the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce board of directors and is the current vice president of cinema for the Bucks Fever Arts program.

Elected and Appointed

Criminal defense and family law attorney Lauren Dentone, a partner at Gawthrop Greenwood, was named to the rules committee for the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

A member of the PACDL since 2010, Dentone has more than a decade of criminal defense and trial experience.

She joins PACDL's rules committee as it reviews proposed rules of criminal procedure drafted by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court committees.

The PACDL, a network of defense attorneys, provides education, resources and more to the Pennsylvania criminal defense bar.

Dentone focuses her law practice on criminal defense, family law and litigation.

She worked as solicitor for the Chester County department of children, youth and families and has trial experience both prosecuting and defending criminal cases.

Such cases included domestic violence, protection from abuse orders, driving under the influence, drug possession, violent weapon offenses, assaults, property crimes and homicide offenses.

Dentone also has experience in employment matters and assists clients with potential implications to current or future employment due to a criminal charge.

Announcements

The Delaware Business Court Insider is seeking contributors to provide analysis and insight into recent Delaware Court of Chancery decisions, as well as litigation and issues currently of interest to the business law community.
