Spector Gadon Rosen Vinci added executive committee member George M. Vinci Jr. to the firm name and unveiled a new logo as well as a redesigned website at sgrvlaw.com.
The firm donated glass mugs featuring its old name to Saint John's Hospice in Philadelphia. Spector Gadon business law attorney Stanley Jaskiewicz arranged for the donation.
Joining Jaskiewicz in the donation pickup were Betty J. Spolan, Spector Gadon consultant to administration; Saint John's Hospice community relations coordinator Elizabeth M. Small; and Anthony Franklin, Spector Gadon clerk.

Greenberg Traurig attorney Kathleen M. Kline is scheduled to present a course titled “Homebrewing & Craft Beer Laws” for Lawline, a platform for online continuing legal education, Tuesday.
Kline, a member of the firm's environmental practice, is set to explain the types of legal issues someone may face when transitioning from homebrewer to a brewery owner.
The CLE webinar will explore intellectual property disputes, compliance with employment laws and state and local restrictions that may need to be considered.
Kline focuses her practice on complex matters including environmental litigation, securities and derivative actions, financial services litigation and professional liability.
She also serves as a legal advisor to the Philadelphia Homebrew Club.
Additionally, Kline is a contributor to Greenberg Traurig's E2 Law Blog, which focuses on environmental and energy topics, and the Consumer Products Counselor blog, which provides insight on legal issues facing the consumer products industry.

Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads partner Joel B. Rosen is slated to speak at the New Jersey Association for Justice's 2019 Boardwalk Seminar in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on Thursday.
The three-day seminar is designed to meet the continuing educational requirements of trial attorneys and features local and regional speakers along with national speakers.
Rosen's presentation, “Ethical Issues in Aggregate Litigation,” is included as part of the mass tort section of the conference.

McNees Wallace & Nurick real estate attorney Claudia Shank is set to present the webinar “Are You Ready for Short-Term Rentals in Your Community” for the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors on May 13.
Shank will address the growth of short-term rentals in communities nationwide and explain how Pennsylvania municipalities can regulate short-term rentals.
She will also pinpoint the lessons learned from recent Pennsylvania court cases.
Shank practices in the McNees real estate practice group where she focuses on representing individuals and developers before municipal entities in land use and permitting matters.
She assists her clients in obtaining zoning relief, including variance, special exception and conditional use approvals.
She also litigates land use appeals and other real estate disputes and assists clients in transactional matters, such as negotiating agreements for the purchase, sale or lease of commercial property.

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

Amy O. Bruchs and Kurt F. Ellison of Michael Best & Friedrich have entered appearances for Epic Systems Corp. in a pending employment discrimination lawsuit. The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The case, assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor, is 3:24-cv-00630, Secker, Nathan v. Epic Systems Corporation.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
