A woman convicted of mortgage fraud has lost in her bid to have her case revisited over claims that she was not afforded proper habeas proceedings.

Senior U.S. District Judge Joy Flowers Conti of the Western District of Pennsylvania denied defendant Denise Bonfilio's request to reopen her case under Rule 60(b).

“Based upon the motion, files and records this instant case, and for the reasons set forth herein, Petitioner did not show a denial of her constitutional rights,” Conti wrote in her opinion.
