Philadelphia has sued Uber as part of an effort to determine whether the the ride sharing giant owes the city taxes.

Philadelphia filed a complaint Tuesday seeking a court order that would compel Uber to provide documents, including its tax return, employee W-2s and a calculation of Philadelphia-based income, as part of an audit. According to the 16-page filing, the city has requested the documents on several occasions to determine whether any taxes are due the city for income earned between 2015 and 2017.
