Denise Bowman, a litigation attorney and partner of the law firm of Antheil Maslow & MacMinn in Doylestown, was appointed as counsel to the board of directors of the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce and as such will also serve on the executive committee.
Bowman practices commercial litigation, with over 20 years of experience representing businesses, individuals, nonprofits and governmental entities throughout Bucks County in a variety of civil and commercial disputes.

Christopher D'Angelo was the moderator and a speaker for the program “GDPR: Nine Months Later–The Impact in the EU on Enforcement and Compliance and in the US on Discovery,” at the midyear meeting of the International Association of Defense Counsel in Santa Barbara, California.
The panel, consisting of lawyers from Europe and the U.S., addressed the EU General Data Protection Regulation and focused on how non-EU based firms must comply with the GDPR when offering goods and services to EU “data subjects” in the EU or monitoring the behavior of EU residents in the EU.
D'Angelo is chair of the business disputes and products liability practice and the chair of the international practice at Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads, based in its Philadelphia and New York offices.
His practice emphasizes litigation and preventive counseling in the fields of business and business torts, corporate litigation, intellectual property, class actions, products liability and mass claims, construction and risk management,
D'Angelo is a member of the American Law Institute, the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Product Liability Advisory Council, the Defense Research Institute, the International Bar Association, the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, and the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel, as well as the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations, the British-American Business Council, and several chambers of commerce.

The Pennsylvania Bar Association young lawyers division is set to honor Melissa N. Leininger, legal counsel for the Bureau of Workers' Compensation, Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, with its Michael K. Smith Excellence in Service Award during an awards luncheon May 16.
The award is presented to a Pennsylvania young lawyer who, through his or her personal and professional conduct, reminds lawyers of their professional and community responsibilities.
An member of the PBA, Leininger is co-vice chair of the Commission on Women in the Profession and a member of its executive council, co-vice chair of the membership development committee and a member of the bar leadership institute task force, government lawyers committee, membership engagement blue ribbon panel, the quality of life/balance committee and the workers' compensation section.
Leininger defends the Uninsured Employer's Guaranty Fund in workers' compensation litigation and serves as counsel to the self-insurance division.

The Pennsylvania Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession is slated to present its annual Anne X. Alpern Award to Lehigh County attorney Nancy Conrad of White and Williams at an awards luncheon held during the commission's 26th annual conference, “The Credibility Gap: Why Women Are Still Striving to Be Heard,” on May 15.
The award is presented to a female lawyer or judge who demonstrates excellence in the legal profession and who makes a professional impact on women in the law.
Conrad is chair of White and Williams' labor and employment and education groups.
She represents businesses, educational institutions and nonprofit organizations in workplace disputes, including wrongful discharge, whistleblower and federal and state discrimination claims, and provides counsel on workplace issues.
Conrad is actively involved in the PBA WIP, serving on its executive council and as commission co-chair in 2014 and 2015.
Conrad is a member of the Lehigh County Bar Association and its board of directors and is currently serving as treasurer.
She is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
She also serves as a hearing committee member for the disciplinary board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in Disciplinary District II.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
