Honored

Tucker Arensberg announced that Michael A. Cassidy was honored as one of seven health care lawyers in the nation to be selected in 2019 as a fellow of the American Health Lawyers Association.

This honor recognizes achievements, contributions and tenure with AHLA and the recipient's service and leadership in the legal profession.

Fellows include past AHLA presidents, former members of the board of directors, former members of practice group and program planning committees, and others who have been active within the association.

Cassidy is chair of the business and finance department and focuses his practice on compliance, credentialing and peer review, reimbursement, contracts, HIT, HIPAA and telehealth issues for physicians.

He is also the publisher of the Med Law Blog, the firm's health law blog, and has been certified in health care compliance by the Health Care Compliance Association.

Cassidy received his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Additions

Robert E. Gordon joined High Swartz's civil litigation practice and has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants over a variety of complex commercial litigation matters.

Gordon is admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

He represents both individuals and large companies and practices in civil litigation, personal injury and workers' compensation matters.

Along with his civil and commercial litigation background, Gordon is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and previously worked as a full-time patent attorney.

Gordon provided clients with patentability and infringement opinions, authored and prosecuted patent applications, and assisted his clients in protecting their ideas.

Gordon worked as an engineer prior to attending Widener University Delaware Law School.

He will be practicing in the civil litigation group out of High Swartz's Doylestown office.

Saxton & Stump announced that associates Jonathan M. Talamini, Morgan S. Hays and Ryan L. Stauffer joined the firm.

Talamini, Hays and Stauffer will focus their practices in health care and commercial litigation.

Talamini will also represent clients in medical device litigation.

Talamini is a litigator who most recently worked as an associate at a Philadelphia-based law firm where he represented major automobile makers in products liability suits.

Prior to this position, Talamini served as the assistant city solicitor in the major tax group for the City of Philadelphia Law Department.

Earlier in his career, Talamini served as a member of the health effects practice group at a national law firm where he represented pharmaceutical company clients in nationwide products liability litigation.

He also worked in the litigation and securities litigation groups of a New York City law office. Talamini received his Juris Doctor from the Columbia Law School.

Hays is a litigator with previous experience in state and federal employment law.

She served as a litigation intern with a provider of post-secondary education, as a law clerk at a firm focusing on attorney mortgage closing services and document preparation, and as a legal intern at a law office in DuBois.

Hays is a member of the Pennsylvania and Lancaster Bar Associations.

Hays earned her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law.

Stauffer most recently practiced at a large civil litigation defense firm where he represented clients in a variety of matters in state and federal courts.

Prior to that, Stauffer served as an associate attorney at a full-service law firm in the Lehigh Valley.

He also worked as a litigation associate at a national law firm where he advised clients regarding class actions, commercial disputes, contractual matters, land use and zoning, products liability, insurance coverage, consumer protection laws and regulatory issues.

After graduating from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, Stauffer was the law clerk to U.S. District Judge John E. Jones III of the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
