The Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania appointed Debra Jensen, Galfand Berger's managing partner, as a hearing committee member.
Jensen joins a group of attorneys who handle matters related to the governance and discipline of Pennsylvania attorneys.
Jensen practices in the area of medical malpractice and employment law. She served as an arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and is a member of the
Philadelphia Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice and the National Employment Lawyers' Association.

Thomas, Thomas & Hafer announced the hiring of Christopher L. Scott.
Scott will be working out of the firm's Harrisburg office.
He joins Thomas Thomas with a background in the field of workers' compensation, employment law and general liability practice.
He represented numerous employers and insurance carriers in worker's compensation, employment and civil matters.
Scott litigates a variety of civil cases spanning a range of practice areas.
Events
Van der Veen, O'Neill, Hartshorn, and Levin had hosted a free legal clinic at Oasis City Church. It involved the firm's attorneys, paralegals and staff providing free legal services.
May 1st was National Law Day, and the firm closed to conduct the free legal clinic.
All eight of van der Veen O'Neill's lawyers and 10 of its paralegals and other legal professionals participated.
They counseled nearly 50 people in need of legal advice.
Speakers
Martin Law partner Matthew Wilson is the faculty planner and moderator of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's upcoming CLE “Best Practices: The Well-Prepared Workers' Compensation Lawyer,” scheduled for May 29.
The program is set to include 12 workers' compensation Judges and 12 practitioners from across the state providing unique perspectives on how to improve and advance the practice of workers' compensation in Pennsylvania.
Wilson practices exclusively in the area of claimant's workers' compensation. For the last 14 years, he co-authored the PBI Workers' Compensation Practice and Procedure Manual.
Wilson presented multiple lectures at the spring and fall meetings of the Pennsylvania workers' compensation section.
He served on the workers' compensation law section council of the Pennsylvania Bar Association since 2007 and is a past chair of the organization.
He is an active member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Associations as well as the workplace injury litigation group.
He was recognized by the workers' injury law and advocacy group's top injured workers' attorneys.
Wilson is the 2018 award recipient of the Irvin Stander Memorial Award by the PBA.
This award is presented annually to an attorney whose dedication to workers' compensation law and professionalism serves as an example to others.
Announcements
The Delaware Business Court Insider is seeking contributors to provide analysis and insight into recent Delaware Court of Chancery decisions, as well as litigation and issues currently of interest to the business law community.
Potential topics that would be appropriate include, but are not limited to, arbitration, books-and-records requests, breach of contract lawsuits, controlling stockholder litigation, derivative claims, discovery disputes in commercial litigation, corporate dissolution, breach of fiduciary duty lawsuits, intellectual property litigation, jurisdictional battles in corporate litigation, merger and acquisition lawsuits, special committee decisions, corporate governance, limited liability company litigation and limited partnership agreement litigation.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

Yalowitz of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer have entered their appearances for Hanaco Venture Capital and its executives, Lior Prosor and David Frankel, in a pending securities lawsuit. The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. Wolf of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani to fend off a pending breach-of-contract lawsuit. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
