Hien Pham joined Fineman Krekstein & Harris as an attorney in its litigation group.
She concentrates her practice in civil cases and handles all aspects of pretrial and trial preparation in state and federal courts.
Pham came to the firm after several years as a litigator at a Philadelphia law firm. She was also a legal intern at Prudential Financial Inc. in Newark, New Jersey.
Before law school, she assisted zoning and land use and construction attorneys at a national commercial and luxury residential real estate development company in King of Prussia.
She currently serves as a committeeperson for the 40B Democratic Ward Executive Committee of Philadelphia. She also volunteers her time as a community advocate on a number of quality-of-life issues.
Pham is fluent in conversational Vietnamese and functions as a resource in legal matters for the Asian American community.
Events
Every April the attorneys and staff from each of The Chartwell Law Offices' 18 offices participate in a competition to support the efforts of Soles4Souls.
The nonprofit organization focuses on fighting poverty around the world by collecting and donating shoes to those in need.
This year, collectively, Chartwell Law donated over 3,800 pairs of shoes.
Soles4Souls was founded in 2010 based on the belief that everyone around the world deserves a good pair of shoes.

McAndrews Law Offices announced its upcoming call-in seminar, titled “Transition Into Adulthood.”
Topics are set to include special education transition plans, vocational/college programs and employment issues.
This session will discuss the obligations of public school programs to provide for transition planning in secondary schools for students with disabilities, together with the nature of the accommodations that are typically available in college programs in order to allow students with disabilities to obtain equal access to educational benefits.
A discussion will be provided with respect to the types of questions employers may ask with respect to medical conditions or disabilities.
In this free, hourlong conference call, Dennis McAndrews and Nancy Potter will address these issues. It is scheduled to be held at noon Thursday.

Michael van der Veen, founder of van der Veen, O'Neill, Hartshorn, and Levin, is set to speak on two panels this week.
At the 2019 Federal Bench Bar Conference on Wednesday, he is slated to be on a panel with U.S. District Judges Juan R. Sanchez, Wendy Beetlestone and Richard Lloret for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and lawyer Paul Kaufman.
The panel is to be moderated by attorney Sara Aronchick Solow speaking on the topic: How Electronic Evidence, Social Media and Technology Has Changed Modern Trial Practice.
He is also scheduled to speak Thursday at the Judicial Intern Opportunity Program Class of 2019 Summer Reception.
Van der Veen will be a panelist to speak about career paths.

NALS of Pennsylvania announced its elected officers for the 2019-21 term:
President: Ella M. Herbin, legal secretary at Pepper Hamilton; president-elect: Danielle E. Herring, paralegal at Sher & Associates; executive secretary: Jacquelyn A. Hannigan, legal assistant at Kaufman, Coren & Ress; and treasurer: Rita Ann Gilson, legal administrative assistant at Reed Smith.
These officers were installed at the 55th annual Installation Banquet and Conference.
NALS of Pennsylvania is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nonunion association of legal secretaries, legal assistants/paralegals, law office administrators, court clerks and other legal professionals affiliated with NALS Inc. and NALS of Philadelphia.
NALS is dedicated to enhancing the competencies and contributions of members in the legal services industry through continuing legal education and increased professionalism.

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The case, assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor, is 3:24-cv-00630, Secker, Nathan v. Epic Systems Corporation.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
