Attorney Melanie J. Wender of Williams Family Law was a featured speaker at the 2019 Family Law Institute, hosted by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
Wender joined a panel of colleagues in presenting “Case Law, Rules & Legislative Updates.”
Wender is experienced in all issues surrounding the complexities of a divorce, such as equitable distribution, custody, spousal support, child support and settlement agreements.
She has resolved custody cases ranging from unmarried same-sex couples to custody agreements between long-distance parents.
She also has experience in adoption issues.
Outside of her professional work, Wender volunteered for causes such as Protection from Abuse actions in Bucks County; the Mazzoni Legal Center, which provides health care and legal services to members of the LGBT community; and the Montgomery Child Advocacy Program, where she represents abused or neglected children.

Fort Washington-based Timoney Knox added Daniel Grossman as an associate to the firm. Grossman is a member of the firm's insurance industry team.
He focuses his practice on insurance and commercial litigation.
Grossman handles matters involving insurance litigation including coverage disputes, bad faith cases and the investigation of potential insurance fraud.
Prior to joining Timoney Knox, he represented defendants in criminal matters, including serious felonies and jury trials in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and in the Philadelphia Municipal Court.
He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Montgomery Bar Association.

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young added Myles A. Seidenfrau as counsel in the firm's financial services litigation group.
Seidenfrau represents banks, mortgage lenders and services, student lenders and debt collection companies involving claims under banking, consumer protection and other related laws and regulations such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Truth in Lending Act,
Telephone Consumer Protection Act and Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Prior to joining the firm, Seidenfrau served as senior vice president and assistant general counsel at Bank of America where he provided legal counsel on regulatory compliance, litigation management and vendor oversight.

Blank Rome announce that of counsel Stephen H. Alpert and Jill Mindlin, along with associates Tyler Mullen and Alexandra Wysocki and their longtime paralegal Kareem Ansley, joined the firm's finance, restructuring and bankruptcy group, which also recently added finance partners Mitchell M. Brand and Harris J. Diamond.
Mullen and Wysocki are both based in the firm's Philadelphia office. They join Blank Rome from Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young.
Mullen and Wysocki concentrate on a range of finance, restructuring and bankruptcy matters, including asset-based and real estate lending and other finance transactions.
Mullen earned his Juris Doctor from Penn State Dickinson Law.
Wysocki earned her J.D from the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law.
She previously served as a judicial intern to Judge M. Teresa Sarmina of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and as a fellow for the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project.

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

Amy O. Bruchs and Kurt F. Ellison of Michael Best & Friedrich have entered appearances for Epic Systems Corp. in a pending employment discrimination lawsuit. The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The case, assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor, is 3:24-cv-00630, Secker, Nathan v. Epic Systems Corporation.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
