James Clancy was the recipient of the 20th annual Blaine E. Capehart Legal Writing Award, presented at Capehart Scatchard.
The firm presented Clancy with a $2,500 award in recognition of his legal writing and research abilities.
The Firm offers this award to a graduating Rutgers law student on an annual basis in honor of the late Blaine E. Capehart.
Kelly Ann Dugan, shareholder and co-chair of the real estate and land use group, presented this year's award.

Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel announced that it promoted Krista Hart to the position of firm administrator.
Hart previously served as human resources manager.
As firm administrator, Hart is responsible for managing the administrative operations of the firm, including supervising all non-attorney personnel; evaluating and managing the firm's operating and IT systems; performing the firm's human resources administration; overseeing the firm's finance functions; performing marketing functions of the firm's legal services and client development activities; and evaluating, managing and supervising the facilities of the firm.
Hart joined Panitch Schwarze in 2016 as a human resources coordinator.
Within one year, she became human resources manager, assuming responsibility for health and ancillary benefits, attendance and leave, recruiting, interviewing, new-hire orientation, performance management, firmwide communication, marketing and public relations.
Hart achieved Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional credentials in 2017.
She also is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators and International Legal Technology Association.

The panelists were Pond Lehocky's four founding partners Samuel Pond, Jerry Lehocky, David Stern and Thomas Giordano Jr.
The second hour's session was titled “Practicing Law in the Digital Age: Business Solutions You Need.”
Joining the Pond Lehocky partners as panelists for the second hour were the firm's chief strategy officer Shawn Lehocky, its chief operating officer Jackie Donovan and its vice president and director of relationship management Adam Goldstein.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
