McNees Wallace & Nurick announced the addition of Stephanie J. Sprenkle to the firm's real estate practice group.
Sprenkle assists purchasers and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of real property and development of real estate with negotiating development agreements, easement agreements and agreements concerning covenants and restrictions for developers, property owners and tenants.
She represents tenants and landlords with respect to commercial leasing, particularly in retail and office leasing and financial institutions and borrowers regarding real estate and asset-based lending financing, restructures and participation and intercreditor agreements.
Sprenkle received her law degree and from Temple University Beasley School of Law.

Dilworth Paxson announced the addition of partner Nanda Kumar to the firm's intellectual property group working in its Princeton, New Jersey, and Philadelphia offices.
Kumar focuses his practice in the areas of intellectual property law and litigation with particular emphasis on patent analysis, opinions, prosecution and litigation.
He assists clients in building IP assets and managing complex patent portfolios including the preparation, filing and prosecution of patent applications related to small molecule, formulations, nucleic acids, gene therapy, vaccines, protein-protein interactions, nanoparticle technology, immunotherapy and diagnostic agents.
He delivers patent analysis and opinions related to inventorship, patentability, IP due diligence, infringement and validity, and freedom-to-operate reviews.
Kumar also assists clients with IP and regulatory issues in the context of Orange Book listing and Hatch-Waxman Amendments to the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
Kumar has experience in supporting patent infringement litigation related to pharmaceutical, chemical and biotechnology industries.
His IP and life science experience includes assisting clients with the structuring and negotiating of confidentiality agreements, license agreements, consulting and noncompete agreements, products development and commercialization agreements, supply agreements and asset purchase agreements.
Prior to entering the field of law, Kumar held senior scientist research positions in the U.S. industry and was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Center for Agricultural Molecular Biology at Rutgers University; the Biotechnology Center of Indian Agricultural Research Institute; and the Tata Energy Research Institute.
His scientific background focused primarily on biology, biochemistry, genetics, biotechnology and molecular biology.
Speakers
Steven A. Hann, principal at Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin and the East Region solicitor for the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association, spoke at the Association of Environmental Authorities of New Jersey's spring conference.
He presented an overview of recent developments in Pennsylvania related to investor-owned utility acquisitions of municipal and authority-owned water and wastewater systems. Hann focuses his practice on environmental and municipal law and chairs Hamburg Rubin's environmental law department.
In addition to his statewide environmental law practice, Hann has a municipal law practice, where he represents and advises municipalities and municipal authorities throughout Pennsylvania on a variety of issues.
Hann is a graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law.

McAndrews Law Offices celebrated the 10-year anniversary of its Northeastern Pennsylvania office by opening a new expanded office located at 2 West Olive Street, Scranton.
With the opening of the new expanded office, McAndrews Law announced two milestones.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Heather Hulse with the firm.
It is also the 10th anniversary for Roseann Paul, paralegal to Hulse.
Holly Donovan joined the new office as an additional assistant.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
