Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg hosted a real estate roundtable with a panel of Philadelphia leaders to discuss the Pew Charitable Trust annual “State of the City” report.
Participating in the panel were Larry Eichel, project director of Pew Charitable Trusts; Harold Epps, commerce director of the City of Philadelphia; Rich Gottlieb, president and COO of Keystone Property Group; Mitch Marcus, managing director of Jones Lang LaSalle; and Brett Feldman, of counsel at Klehr Harrison.
Speakers
Partner Robert J. Salzer of Williams Family Law participated in a panel discussion exploring the emotional, physical, legal and mental issues children are facing and how to raise them to be resilient adults.
“The Lost Children” was hosted by Newport Academy.
Salzer was joined on the panel by Chad Coren, Rachel Millner, Eric Weinstein, Chris Craig and Joan Kings.
Salzer focuses his practice on financially complex, high-net-worth family law matters including alimony/spousal support, divorce, equitable distribution, marital agreements, child support, child custody and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
He is a co-author of “Stress-Free Divorce,” a book designed to help anyone considering or in the midst of a divorce identify and overcome common obstacles to as smooth a resolution as possible.
Elected and Appointed
The Pennsylvania Bar Foundation announced its new leadership team for the 2019-20 bar year. Its board of directors consists of 22 voting members that manage the foundation, including officers, elected directors and designated directors by appointment.
The following members began their positions at the close of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation annual meeting in Lancaster.
The officers are as follows:
Jeffrey M. Bower of Bower Law Associates in State College is serving his third and final year as president of the foundation.
Samuel D. Miller III, a private practitioner in Lansdale, is vice president of the foundation.
Larry E. Coploff of the Lock Haven law firm of Coploff, Ryan, Welch, and Houser is the foundation's treasurer.
Christine Hall McClure of Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett in Erie is secretary of the foundation.
Tyrone A. Powell with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections in Harrisburg, is immediate past president.
The elected directors who are serving the first year of three-year terms are Christopher Gvozdich of Gvozdich Law Offices in Ebensberg and Rhodia D. Thomas, executive director of MidPenn Legal Services in Harrisburg.
The board members serving the first year of their second of three-year terms are Michael Jones of McMillen Urick Tocci Jones in Aliquippa and Kelly A. Mroz with Penn State University in State College.
The following designated directors are serving one-year terms: James R. Antoniono of DAMD in Greensburg; Alaina C. Koltash, executive director and senior legal counsel of the education committee of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in Harrisburg; Anne N. John, a private practitioner in Uniontown; Shelly R. Pagac of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti in Pittsburgh; and William H. Pugh of Erdenheim, Kane, Pugh, Knoell, Troy & Kramer in Norristown and Philadelphia.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. Attorneys from A&O Shearman has stepped in as defense counsel for Toronto-Dominion Bank and other defendants in a pending securities class action. The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, is 1:24-cv-09445, Gonzalez v. The Toronto-Dominion Bank et al.

Crown Castle International, a Pennsylvania company providing shared communications infrastructure, has turned to Luke D. Wolf of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani to fend off a pending breach-of-contract lawsuit. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Susan K. Declercq, is 2:24-cv-13131, The Town Residences LLC v. T-Mobile US, Inc. et al.

Wilfred P. Coronato and Daniel M. Schwartz of McCarter & English have stepped in as defense counsel to Electrolux Home Products Inc. in a pending product liability lawsuit.
