Willig, Williams & Davidson announced that longtime attorney and firm partner Marianne Henry Saylor left the firm to become director of the Bureau of Workers' Compensation for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Saylor assumed her new role in the administration of Gov. Tom Wolf during the 18th annual Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Conference in Hershey.
During the 18 years that Saylor practiced law with Willig Williams, she focused her practice on workers' compensation, representing injured workers across the state of Pennsylvania.
At Willig Williams, Saylor practiced workers' compensation law.
She is certified in the practice of workers' compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association workers' compensation law section, representing clients before administrative law judges, the workers' compensation appeal board and the commonwealth and supreme courts of Pennsylvania.
She also authors articles and presents seminars on workers' compensation, advising labor organizations and community groups of the rights and responsibilities of injured workers.
Saylor served on the Lansdowne Borough Council and previously served as a board member and secretary of the Southwest Community Development Corporation, a private nonprofit organization that provides assistance to residents and promotes local economic development.

DePaolis has a background with business management principles, brand marketing, process improvements, data analytics and technology strategies.
DePaolis brings more than 30 years of professional experience to the firm.
Having built and managed teams of business and technical resources, he led business transformations for major corporations in industries including life sciences, health care, insurance and engineering.
Most recently, DePaolis was CEO and founder of cloudIMPACT, a management and technology consultant firm.
Earlier in his career, DePaolis managed large enterprise software and hardware development and product teams.

Saxton & Stump attorney Erik M. Hume was elected as the vice chair of the real property division for the Pennsylvania Bar Association real property, probate and trust law section.
The real property, probate and trust law section is focused on bringing together practitioners with varying levels of experience throughout Pennsylvania to develop their knowledge of respective areas of law through collaboration and mentorship among group members.
It is the largest section of the PBA.
The section is also charged with keeping members of the PBA up to date on real estate law and to advocate for improvements and amendments relating to real estate legislation.
Hume will serve a one-year term as vice chair.
During this year, he will be responsible for supervising and directing the work of the real property division.
This work includes legislative and professional development initiatives as well as serving on the section's executive committee.
Hume is a shareholder in Saxton & Stump's Harrisburg office and chair of the firm's real estate group.
He handles a variety of matters, including commercial and residential real estate transactions, land development, commercial loan origination and counseling clients on complex condominium and planned community matters.
He handles aspects of complex real estate development projects including the negotiation of agreements of sale, coordinating due diligence, obtaining entitlements and managing the closing process.
Hume represents a number of clients in complex real estate transactions, including commercial and residential real estate developers, financial institutions, landlords, regional retail chains, colleges and universities and health care providers.
Hume is also a licensed title agent.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
