Drinker Biddle & Reath announced that Daniel H. Aiken was appointed regional partner in charge of the firm's Philadelphia office.
Aiken, a labor and employment litigator, succeeds partner Jill E. Bronson, who led the office for 11 years.
Aiken began his career at Drinker Biddle as an associate in 2005, following a clerkship for U.S. District Judge Robert B. Kugler of the District of New Jersey. He became a partner in Drinker Biddle's labor and employment group in 2015.
Aiken represents employers in an array of employment-related matters, with an emphasis on litigating claims involving the enforcement of noncompete agreements and wage-and-hour disputes.
His practice also includes working with employers to help them navigate employment issues, with a focus on avoiding litigation.

David Eisen joined HomansPeck as an associate in the Philadelphia office of the labor and employment law firm.
After graduating from Rutgers Law School, Eisen clerked for the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Administrative Law Judges.
He handles both litigation and counseling work for HomansPeck.

Brian M. Jeffers joined Kaplin Stewart and is an associate and member of the commercial and construction litigation departments.
He is a civil litigation attorney. Jeffers tries cases to verdict in state court and resolves cases in alternative dispute resolution forums.
Before Kaplin Stewart, Jeffers was a trial attorney in Philadelphia.
While in law school, Jeffers was a judicial extern to Judge Christopher S. Sontchi of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware and worked as a law clerk at two Philadelphia law firms.

Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg announced that Sharon Shachar joined the firm as a partner in its tax practice group.
Shachar was previously in-house at a global Fortune 500 energy management and automation company, where she served as director of global tax M&A and corporate transactions and director of tax planning and transactions.
Shachar represents clients on a range of domestic and cross-border matters, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructuring, tax-free reorganizations, leveraged buyouts, debt financing and joint ventures.
Shachar advises clients on the formation of private equity funds, real estate transactions, partnerships, limited liability companies and S corporations.
In addition, Shachar has experience advising domestic, international and multinational clients on structuring and operational considerations relating to cross-border investments and business transactions.

Nicholas C. Needle joined Conrad O'Brien as a litigation associate.
Needle will practice in the firm's commercial litigation and Title IX, due process and campus discipline practice groups.
Prior to joining the firm, Needle clerked for the U.S. District Judge Robert F. Kelly of the of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
He also previously worked at a regional defense firm.
Needle earned his law degree from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.

David Senoff, a former shareholder at Anapol Weiss, started Philadelphia-based First Law Strategy Group on June 1, 2019.
Senoff focuses on insurance and health maintenance organization bad faith cases and is a class action litigator.

Barley Snyder announced that attorney Lindsey M. Cook graduated as a member of the Lancaster Leadership Core Class of 2019.
Cook is a member of the firm's litigation practice group and is one of five firm attorneys admitted to practice law in Maryland.
Leadership Lancaster's mission is to develop community leadership to support the needs of Lancaster County, according to its website.
Cook joined the board of directors at the Coalition for Smart Growth, a nonprofit organization promoting responsible development in Lancaster County.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
