Devin S. Fox joined Kaplin Stewart as an associate and is a member of the firm's estate and trust department.
Fox focuses her practice on estate and gift tax planning, wealth preservation, business planning and succession, and estate and trust administration.
Fox began her legal career with an estate and business law firm in Annapolis, Maryland, before relocating to the Philadelphia area in 2016.

Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads announced that A. Nicole Phillips, a former assistant U.S. attorney in the criminal division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, joined the firm in its Philadelphia office.
Phillips will serve as partner in the firm's white-collar and government investigations practice group.
As a member of the narcotics unit, she prosecuted individuals for federal drug trafficking offenses, public corruption, tax and bank fraud conspiracies and Hobbs Act robbery.
Phillips also served as a member of the office's hiring committee and co-chair of its summer intern program.
Prior to joining the EDPA, Phillips served as an assistant district attorney within the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office.
In this role, Phillips also worked with members of the Philadelphia Police Department to investigate and prepare cases for trial, researched and prepared letter briefs to the Pennsylvania Superior Court in response to direct appeals and post-conviction relief appeals, and argued before the Pennsylvania Superior Court.
She has also previously served as the senior director for career planning at Temple University Beasley School of Law.

The Philadelphia chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators Diversity and Inclusion held an educational event titled “Age is More than a Number: Navigating an Aging Society to be More Inclusive.”
A panel presentation featuring officials from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania spoke, including Robert Torres, secretary of aging; Robin Wiessmann, secretary of banking and securities; and Todd Snovel, executive director of the Pennsylvania Commission on LGBTQ Affairs.

Grace M. Deon was appointed as a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association legal services for exceptional children committee.
Deon chaired the committee from 2011 to 2015. In 2018 and 2019, she was again appointed a member of the committee.
Deon is a shareholder and member of Eastburn and Gray's management committee.
Her practice focuses on employment, commercial and special education litigation.
She previously served as the president of the Bucks County Bar Association.
The PBA legal services for exceptional children committee was established to develop programs designed to educate members of the legal profession on current legislation and/or regulations affecting exceptional children and their families.
The committee studies, reviews and makes recommendations concerning legislation or regulations that affect exceptional children and their families.

Lynelle A. Gleason of Williams Family Law is now a trained facilitator for Pennsylvania's new parent coordination rules for child custody.
Gleason completed coursework in parent coordination at the Good Shepherd Mediation Program, a justice center in Philadelphia.
As a parent coordinator, Gleason will be able to address such issues as transitions between households, variations from the parenting plan for special events, childcare arrangements, extracurricular activities and other matters related to implementing a parenting plan.
Gleason handles a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child support, alimony, spousal support, equitable distribution and child custody.
She is a certified mediator in divorce and custody cases and also has experience in estate law.
She is a member of an interdisciplinary group, a group of child custody evaluators and domestic relations attorneys that focuses on best practices regarding child custody issues such as the use of a psychologist and therapist during the family law process.

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The case, assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor, is 3:24-cv-00630, Secker, Nathan v. Epic Systems Corporation.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
