McNees Wallace & Nurick announced the addition of Maria Kennison to the firm's real estate practice group.
While attending Penn State Dickinson Law, Kennison interned for U.S. District Judge Sylvia H. Rambo of the Middle District of Pennsylvania. She served as secretary of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.
Kennison, who was born and raised in the Philippines, worked for several years in the financial services industry as a systems analyst and technical writer.

Saxton & Stump added Gayle Pridgen, Abbey Seymore and M. Erica Crouse to the firm.
Pridgen supports the trusts and estates group as a paralegal. She assists with the preparation of estate planning documents, non-judicial agreements and Orphans' Court pleadings.
Prior to joining Saxton & Stump, Pridgen worked in the Orphans' Court litigation and estate planning groups of a Lancaster-based law firm.
Seymore supports the business and corporate, hospitality and real estate groups as a paralegal.
She supports attorneys from the initiation to closing of real estate transactions, including reviewing agreements, resolving complications in titles and preparing deeds and documents.
Seymore also assists attorneys with entity formation, obtaining employer identification numbers and acquiring necessary permits and licenses.
She is also certified as a licensed title agent. Prior to joining Saxton & Stump, she served as a title agent and real estate paralegal at a Harrisburg law firm.
Crouse supports the firm's hospitality, marketing and business development teams. She works with the director of concierge services.

Barley Snyder announced that attorney Daniel M. Frey was named president of the Hanover Public Library Association Inc.
Frey was elected to the organization's board of directors in 2017. The association promotes and stimulates library interest among members and people in Hanover, supports literary and educational undertakings, and renders assistance in the building, equipping and maintaining of
Hanover's Guthrie Memorial Library, part of the York County Libraries system.
The association oversees an endowment fund that enables it to contribute to the library to enhance its operations and programs.
Frey is a former assistant district attorney in York County and a former past president of the board of directors of the York County Bar Association.
He is active in other community groups in Hanover, including as the vice chairman of the board of directors of Main Street Hanover Inc. He is a past president of the board of directors of the
Hanover Area YMCA and currently serves on its board of trustees.
Frey practices in Barley Snyder's business, finance and creditors' rights, personal planning and real estate practice groups as well as the municipal and municipal authority and food and agribusiness industry groups. He was managing partner of Barley Snyder from 2003 to 2008.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The case is 1:24-cv-07594, Roy v. Ittycheria et al.

Amy O. Bruchs and Kurt F. Ellison of Michael Best & Friedrich have entered appearances for Epic Systems Corp. in a pending employment discrimination lawsuit. The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The case, assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Anita Marie Boor, is 3:24-cv-00630, Secker, Nathan v. Epic Systems Corporation.

David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
