Jonathan T. Marks, partner at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, was appointed a member of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants forensic and litigation services fraud task force.
The FLS fraud task force serves to foster growth in the forensic and valuation services section and increase certified public accountants' recognition of forensic accounting services as a growing practice niche by identifying, collecting, developing and disseminating technical, industry, legislative and regulatory issues related to fraud prevention, detection and response.
Marks has more than 30 years of experience working with clients, boards, senior management and law firms on global and cross-border fraud and misconduct investigations, including bribery, corruption and compliance matters.
The AICPA is a member association representing the CPA profession nationally regarding rule-making and standard-setting and serves as an advocate before legislative bodies, public interest groups and other professional organizations.

After six months at Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano, Corinne Bolanos was named chief marketing officer at the firm.
Bolanos joins an executive team made up of business professionals who aim to promote technology and innovation.
Bolanos became the fifth member of the executive team.
Bolanos joined Pond Lehocky in November as vice president of marketing.
She previously served as a creative strategist in New York City at Pinterest Inc. and associate creative director at VaynerMedia, a social media-focused advertising agency.

Saxton & Stump added attorney and corporate finance executive Derek W. Leckow as senior market strategist.
Leckow brings more than 20 years of experience working closely on business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, and building relationships with investors and business leaders.
In this role, Leckow works with the firm's business development team to grow the firm's client base and focus on strategic initiatives.
He also serves as the business development liaison to the firm's partner companies.
In addition, he is an associate in the firm's business and corporate group.
Leckow served in executive roles in the capital markets and a global publicly traded company.
Most recently, he was vice president of the integration management office with Dentsply Sirona Inc. in York.
During his time at Dentsply, he also served as vice president of investor relations. Prior to Dentsply, Leckow was the vice president and senior investment analyst for Barrington Research Associates Inc.
He was also an attorney in private practice in Chicago.

White and Williams announced the addition of L. Stephen Bowers and Dana Petrillo as counsel in the Philadelphia office.
Bowers joins the tax and estates practice where he advises employers on the design, operation and regulation of executive compensation agreements and employee pension and health care plans.
He has knowledge of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act as well as relevant health, privacy and tax laws.
Before entering private practice, Bowers worked as an investigator for the Employee Benefits Security Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor where he assisted with civil and criminal investigations of single- or multi-employer plans and service providers.
Petrillo joins the health care practice, advising and representing a variety of health care entities, including hospitals, health systems, physician practices, long-term care providers and payers, in a range of complex regulatory, compliance and litigation matters.
She works with clients to ensure compliance with federal and multistate health care laws and regulations and has experience handling legal issues arising from health care transactions and business arrangements, including assisting with health care provider licensure, Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment and reimbursement.
Petrillo also provides health care clients counseling in connection with litigation, government audits and investigations.
Prior to joining White and Williams, both Bowers and Petrillo practiced in the Philadelphia office of Cozen O'Connor.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
