Fox Rothschild added Ronald P. Kalyan Jr. to the firm's Exton office as a partner in the real estate department.
Kalyan advises clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions.
He represents clients in purchases, sales, leases and workouts.
He also represents commercial lenders in loan transactions, including construction, permanent and line-of-credit financing and loan restructuring workout matters.
Additionally, Kalyan offers general business counseling to clients on formation of real estate holding companies, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, financing and general employment issues.

Personal injury law firm Laffey, Bucci & Kent announced that it was awarded the Civilian Leadership Award by the National Center on Sexual Exploitation in honor of the firm's work seeking justice for survivors of sexual harassment and assault.
The award was presented at the 2019 Coalition to End Sexual Exploitation Global Summit.
The center focuses on exposing all forms of sexual exploitation, including child sexual abuse, prostitution, sex trafficking and pornography.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
