Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg collected books for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
The firm presented more than 500 books to program coordinator Kirsten P. Rogers. Each year at 17 primary-care centers, CHOP's Reach Out and Read pediatricians and nurse practitioners give out more than 180,000 books to children in need. McNees Wallace & Nurick announced the 3rd annual Food & Beverage Seminar, to be held from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Hollywood Casino in Grantville.
This year's event is set to feature national television personality and former Top Chef contestant Chef Fabio Viviani.
The seminar will include a panel discussion on the surge of emerging products; a labor and employment update; a CBD regulatory update and practical tips for launching CBD products; and a panel discussion sponsored by Baker Tilly Virchow Krause on growth strategies and enterprise transformation.

Benjamin R. Picker testified before the U.S. House of Representatives small business committee on the topic “Crushed by Confessions of Judgment: The Small Business Story.”
This hearing examined the practice of lenders leaving small businesses without money through the use of confessions of judgment.
Members of the committee heard from a variety of witnesses detailing the legalities of the practice, its use and its impact on small business borrowers.

Dilworth Paxson announced the addition of associate Silvio A. Trentalange to the firm's litigation department.
Trentalange represents both plaintiffs and defendants in commercial and complex civil litigation.
He provides clients guidance and works cases from prelitigation investigation through trial and appeal.
He argues discovery and dispositive motions before federal and state courts, and leads briefing projects on legal issues before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court.
Prior to joining Dilworth, Trentalange worked at a Philadelphia plaintiffs firm handling complex cases concerning toxic tort and products liability class actions, commercial arbitrations, wrongful death and catastrophic injury.

Seyfarth Shaw added Kori S. Carew as chief inclusion and diversity officer, who joins from Shook, Hardy & Bacon, where she was the director of strategic diversity initiatives for the past seven years.
In this newly created role, Carew is responsible for advancing Seyfarth's inclusion and diversity strategy and accelerating its existing portfolio of programs and external partnerships.
Earlier in her career, Carew was a trial attorney and law firm partner where she was engaged in diversity and inclusion initiatives. This included helping to design and implement diversity strategies.

Noah S. Robbins, an intellectual property litigator working in copyright and trademark disputes and brand enforcement, joined Ballard Spahr as of counsel in Philadelphia.
Robbins litigates cases involving breach-of-trademark licensing agreements, trademark infringement and false advertising cases arising under the Lanham Act.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
