Reger Rizzo & Darnall partnered with the Philadelphia Bar Foundation to raise money in support of the foundation's annual Philly Jeans for Justice Campaign.
Through the one-day event, Reger Rizzo raised $500 for the campaign. The attorneys and staff from all of Reger Rizzo's offices donated money in exchange for wearing jeans to work.
The money raised will go to support the Philadelphia Bar Foundation's funding of grants and legal aid nonprofits throughout the Philadelphia region, including the AIDS Law Project of Pennsylvania, the Disabilities Rights Center, the Education Law Center, the Homeless Advocacy Project, the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center, the Senior Law Center and the Support Center for Child Advocates, among others.

Spector Gadon Rosen Vinci business lawyer Stanley P. Jaskiewicz received the Paul Quinn Award from The Timothy School.
The award was presented at the school's 27th annual Golf Classic at Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester.
It is named for the late Paul Quinn, a parent and volunteer at the school.
The Timothy School is the oldest nonprofit approved private school in Pennsylvania devoted exclusively to teaching students with autism.

The Duane Morris Tax Accounting Group announced the following promotions: Rodney N. Anello to senior manager, Luke J. Bartlinski to senior manager, Michael R. Bartosik to senior manager, Shawn P. O'Neil to senior accountant and Gregory G. Smith to supervisor.
Anello practices in the areas of federal, state and local taxation, with particular emphasis on income tax compliance and tax minimization strategies for individuals and small businesses.
Bartlinski practices in the areas of federal, state and local income taxation with a particular emphasis on tax compliance, planning and minimization strategies for high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, corporations and partnerships.
O'Neill practices in the areas of federal, state and local income taxation with an emphasis on tax compliance and planning for a diverse client base.
Smith practices in the areas of federal, state and local income taxation with an emphasis on tax compliance and planning for high-net-worth individuals, businesses and trusts.

Wisler Pearlstine announced that its education law department added three special education attorneys to its ranks.
Gabrielle Goham, the former head of the special education practice at Raffaele Puppio, rejoins Wisler, where she began her practice as an associate.
Joining her from Raffaele Puppio will be Tracey Waldmann.
The third addition to the team is Macy T. Laster, formerly an associate at Weber & Kracht & Chellew.
Goham, a partner in the firm, practices special education law, representing both parents and public, private and charter schools and intermediate units.
A former legal adviser to the Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education and board member at St. John's Pre-school in Glen Mills, Goham lectures and authors publications regarding issues in special education law.
Waldmann was a litigation associate at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis before being a special education attorney at Raffaele Puppio.
Laster is a board member of Voice & Vision Inc. a nonprofit aimed at helping families and individuals dealing with mental health, addiction and disability issues. She is also a member of the Montgomery, Bucks County and Pennsylvania bar associations and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
