Blank Rome announced that partner Sophia Lee, who was recently appointed as the firm’s chief diversity and inclusion officer, was elected to the board of directors of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania for a two-year term.
The Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania delivers the Girl Scout experience to close to 40,000 girls in nine counties across Eastern Pennsylvania: Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia.
As a member of the board, Lee will focus on the GSEP’s efforts to build leadership for the future by strengthening the organization and the opportunities it offers girls.
The board will focus on strategic goals surrounding the organization’s culture, communications and messaging, Girl Scout experience, volunteer experience and financial sustainability and revenue enhancement.
Lee concentrates her litigation practice in the energy industry, handling commercial, environmental, products liability and toxic tort matters.
She is a frequent lecturer and holds leadership positions for several legal, civic and charitable associations.
In addition to her role at the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, she currently serves on the boards of Asian Arts Initiative, Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts and the Philadelphia Education Fund.

Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg announced that Travis Dunkelberger joined the firm as an associate in its litigation practice group.
Dunkelberger focuses his practice on all aspects of complex commercial and corporate litigation, including assisting with the various stages of legal proceedings and trial preparation by conducting legal research and drafting memoranda, motions, settlements and briefs.
Dunkelberger earned his Juris Doctor from the Villanova University Widger School of Law.
Dunkelberger previously worked at Potter Anderson & Corroon in Wilmington, Delaware.

Holland & Knight announced that attorney Eugene Chikowksi joined the firm’s financial services practice group in its Philadelphia office.
Chikowksi focuses his practice on consumer compliance issues, particularly credit card compliance, as well as bankruptcy and risk-management matters.
He was previously with Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani in Philadelphia.
Chikowski represents large corporate institutions in bankruptcy and bankruptcy-related matters.
He has experience with both commercial and consumer-related bankruptcy issues including matters for a Fortune 100 worldwide financial services company, an international media company, a petroleum refining company and other New York-based companies.
He was the lead or a team member on consumer compliance projects for several financial institutions.
In addition to his traditional attorney role, Chikowski works directly with corporate clients in varied industries to bring the law of a particular area into the business practices of the client.
His has experience in the area of financial risk management analysis.
His work with industry executives in business deals entails development of new strategies for process improvement and management of financial risk by conforming business practices to law.
Chikowski lectures and presents seminars for the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and clients on bankruptcy-related and risk management issues.
Chikowski received a Juris Doctor from Villanova University Widger School of Law.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
