On the heels of a year that saw decreases across several key compensation metrics for Pennsylvania general counsel, 2018 made up that lost ground and then some.

In 2017, total cash compensation—salary, bonus and nonequity incentive plan compensation— among Pennsylvania legal department leaders dropped by 8.5% to an average of $748,881 from $818,444 in 2016. But in 2018, that number jumped by 17.8% to $882,378.
