The law firm of Rieders, Travis, Humphrey, Waters & Dohrmann announced that Clifford Rieders became a member of the National Trial Lawyers.
The National Trial Lawyers is a professional organization composed of the trial lawyers from across the country.
Rieders is a member of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court rules committee as well as the Pennsylvania Supreme Court standard jury instruction committee.
Rieders received his Juris Doctoral degree from Georgetown University.
Rieders is a past president of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, now the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, as well as president of the Federal Bar Association, Central Pennsylvania chapter.
Rieders is a life member of the American Law Institute, an organization that proposes laws to the 50 states and received honors from the Pennsylvania Association of Justice for his work with the amicus curiae committee.

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young partner Sara P. Crovitz served as a moderator at Practising Law Institute's Global Asset Management 2019 in New York.
Crovitz's panel, "Offshore Regulatory Update," discussed cross-border regulatory issues and their impact on global asset management firms.
Crovitz provides counsel on all aspects of investment company and investment adviser regulation.
Before joining Stradley Ronon, Crovitz had more than 20 years of experience at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
In her most recent position of deputy chief counsel in the division of investment management, Crovitz worked with a team of over 50 attorneys in issuing exemptive orders, no-action/interpretive letters, IM Guidance Updates and other written and oral guidance, including guidance related to MiFID II, clean shares and auditor independence.
She also led the division's international obligations including IOSCO and FSB work streams.
Events
The John F. Scarpa Center for Law and Entrepreneurship, in partnership with the Villanova School of Business, Center for Business Analytics, is set to hold the CLE course and senior-level panel, "Disruption of Legal Services through AI & Automation."
The session is set to start with an introduction to business analytics by Dr. Stephen Mahar of the Villanova School of Business and continue with a presentation highlighting the benefits artificial intelligence and machine learning provide in areas ranging from data search and retrieval to legal reasoning to outcome prediction.
Current cases and examples will be featured.
No prior experience in analytics required.
Following the CLE course, a panel of senior leaders at Philadelphia area law firms will discuss the impact of AI and machine learning on their practices.
Participants are set to include Linda Novosel, chief innovation and value officer at Blank Rome; Todd Corham, chief information officer at Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr; Aaron Crews, chief data analytics officer at Littler Mendelson; and Kyle Dumont, director and knowledge management attorney at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.
The event is scheduled to be held from 2:45 to 8 p.m., Oct. 3, at the Villanova University Widger School of Law. The program offers 3 CLE credits.

Griesing Law announced that Christina M. Reger joined the firm as a member and chair of the employment practice group.
She will be based in both the firm's Philadelphia and Newtown offices, as well as the firm's new Bucks County office.
Reger handles litigation and counseling matters related to labor and employment for corporate, entrepreneurial and startup enterprises.
She has experience in a variety of employment litigation matters including breach of employment contract disputes, unfair competition, discrimination and harassment, enforcement of restrictive covenants, business divorces and a variety of other general commercial litigation matters.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
