Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg announced that Michael K. Coran was appointed to the role of commissioner for America250PA, the Pennsylvania Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial, the 250th birthday of the United States.
In addition to being a partner in the firm's litigation practice group, Coran serves as general counsel to the firm and is a member of the firm's executive committee.
He concentrates his practice in the area of business litigation, with particular emphasis in merger and acquisition disputes, securities litigation, securities industry disputes and business torts.
Coran received his Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School.
The Pennsylvania Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial was created by an act of the Pennsylvania General Assembly in 2018.
This commission was established to plan, encourage, develop and coordinate the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, Pennsylvania's role in that event, and impact of its people on the nation's past, present and future.

Robin Roberts, community organizer with Parents United for Public Education, was elected to the board of directors of the Public Interest Law Center.
Roberts is the mother of three children in the public schools and is past president of the C.W. Henry Elementary Parent-Teacher Association.
She serves on the school advisory council for George Washington Carver High School of Engineering and Science.
She is a frequent spokesperson for Parents United on issues of school funding, supporting the opt-out movement against high-stakes testing, and improving school facilities.

The Dyslexia and Literacy Network is sponsoring a free Individualized Education Program clinic with McAndrews Law Offices attorney Dennis McAndrews.
McAndrews will discuss "Top 10 Tips to Developing an Appropriate IEP."
The program is scheduled to be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Erie Scottish Rite-Valley-Millcreek.
After his talk, McAndrews will be available for brief consultations with parents interested in having their child's IEP or evaluation reviewed.

Meehan was previously with PMT Law Firm in Philadelphia.
Meehan focuses his practice on civil litigation for corporations, insurance companies and individuals in automobile liability, premises liability and product defect claims involving catastrophic accidents in state and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
He also counsels companies in construction site accident matters, complex commercial disputes, malpractice claims, employment matters and contract negotiations.
Meehan earned his Juris Doctor at Atlanta's John Marshall Law School.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.
