Blank Rome's general litigation attorneys from across the country convened in Philadelphia for a community service-oriented team retreat.
Attorneys had the opportunity to meet the group's newest associates, participate in a team meeting and lunch, and support the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's commitment to the local community through an afternoon of work at Karabots Health and Wellness Garden.

The Bucks County Bar Foundation is set to host its 15th anniversary celebration, "An Affair to Remember," from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct 10 at the Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm.
The event honors past and present trustees of the BCBF and the work of its members.
The evening includes food, cocktails and entertainment.

The BCBF is the charitable arm of the Bucks County Bar Association whose mission is to promote justice through the good deeds of Bar Association members.
Speakers
McNees Wallace & Nurick attorneys are slated to present on various labor and employment law issues at the Northeast Pennsylvania's chapter of SHRM Legal Update on Thursday in Scranton.
Attorneys Eric Athey, Denise Elliott, Renée Lieux, Adam Long, Adam Santucci, Micah Saul and Joseph Sileo will cover the latest developments in employment law; personnel files, performance documentation and telecommuting; important ADA/FMLA issues; employee benefits; and medical marijuana.
The seminar will also feature a mock trial highlighting the pitfalls employers face when working with temporary employees and other independent contractors.
The event is approved for SHRM credits. Approval is pending for HRCI and CLE credits.

Lamb McErlane partner Vasilios "Bill" Kalogredis co-presented at the National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants Webinar.
Kalogredis discussed "Private Equity Transactions in the Medical/Dental Practice World."
The NSCHBC provides health care business consultant members with an active forum for networking and knowledge sharing and understanding of the health care business environment, both medical and dental.
This course gave insight into how health care appraisers use private equity transactions in valuing medical and dental practices and how one may advise health care clients or organizations in the process.
This webinar also addressed various legal and pragmatic aspects of private equity deals. Kalogredis is chairman of Lamb McErlane's health law department.
He represents physicians, dentists, group practices, other health care professionals and health care-related entities locally and across the nation.
Kalogredis frequently lectures both locally and nationally on health law topics and publishes articles on current issues in health law.

Friedman Schuman, a regional law firm representing clients throughout Pennsylvania announced that Brett J. Kaminsky joined the firm as a member of its medical malpractice and personal injury teams.
Kaminsky has experience as a medical malpractice lawyer, first as a defense attorney and now as a plaintiffs attorney.
Kaminsky is a graduate of the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
