Steve Poulathas, chair of Flaster Greenberg's business and corporate and taxation departments, is slated to join a panel of business experts at UBS Financial Business Owner's Forum on Oct. 29, focusing on "Monetizing Your Life's Work."
Poulathas serves on Flaster Greenberg's board of directors.
He also is a member of the firm's taxation, trusts and estates, and employee benefits practice groups.
He counsels and represents individuals, family-owned businesses and public companies in the tax, business and finance, and estate practices.

Jonathan Friedman and David Stamm of First American Title Insurance Co. are set to present "Trending Topics in Real Estate" from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday.
This course covers issues affecting the real estate industry, including cybercrime, e-notarizations and e-closings, cryptocurrencies, marijuana legalization and terrorism.

Meyer, Unkovic & Scott real estate attorney Maxwell Briskman Stanfield is set to be a roundtable leader during the International Council of Shopping Centers U.S. Shopping Center Law Conference scheduled to be held from Oct. 23 to Oct. 25 at the Marriott Marquis in San Diego.
The topic of the roundtable discussion, which will take place the morning of Oct. 25, is "Repurposing Retail and Thinking Outside the Box: The Changing Landscape of Malls and Big Box Stores."
Stanfield is a member of the firm's real estate and lending, corporate and business law, MUSolutions and nonprofit practice groups.
His experience covers a range of corporate, business, financial and commercial real estate transactions.
Stanfield assists clients primarily with the drafting and interpretation of contracts; the purchase and sale of businesses; the purchase, sale and leasing of real property; the drafting, negotiating and reviewing of commercial lending transactions; the formation and representation of nonprofit organizations; and the formation and structuring of business entities.
In addition, he has experience with franchise agreements and a variety of matters in the hospitality and entertainment industry.

Lorie Dakessian, Conrad O'Brien partner and vice-chair of the firm's Title IX, due process and campus discipline group, presented together with Adam Zucker of Mudrick & Zucker on "Defending Students in Disciplinary Exclusion and Criminal Cases."
The presentation was part of PACDL's daylong conference on "Defending Education Professionals and Students," which was held at the Inn at Villanova University.
The presentation focused on developing skills necessary to take on cases involving Title IX student conduct code violations and related police investigations and criminal charges.

Barley Snyder opened a new office in Schuylkill County, bringing the firm's total number of offices to 10.
The new Schuylkill Haven office is the farthest north of the law firm's offices.
The office is located at 950 E. Main St., in the Miller Bros. Construction complex.
It is now fully staffed with two full-time lawyers–partner David H. Rattigan and attorney Michael W. Fox–and a full-time assistant.
Rattigan is a business attorney who also is a certified public accountant.
He works with families and businesses in business formation and operation, succession planning and estate planning and administration.
He also works with commercial real estate development, financing and leasing.
Fox is a Lebanon County native who returned to the region in 2017 after working as a real estate attorney in Philadelphia following his graduation from Temple University Beasley School of Law.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
