A team of Drinker Biddle & Reath attorneys and staff from the firm's Philadelphia office participated in Girard College's "Beyond the Wall 5K Run and Family Fun Walk."
The firm was a lead sponsor of the event, which benefited the school.
Girard College is a first-through-12th grade five-day boarding school for academically capable children who have only one or no parents. All the children receive full scholarships and live on campus. Girard's mission is to prepare students for advanced education and life as informed, ethical and productive citizens through an education program that promotes intellectual, social and emotional growth.

The South Asian Bar Association of Philadelphia is slated to host its second annual gala at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 1 at The Logan Hotel in Philadelphia.
The Gala serves as the organization's largest event of the year and unites diverse attorneys and business leaders for an evening of cocktails, dining, entertainment, awards, building relationships and networking opportunities.
The Gala recognizes and celebrates the growth of SABA-Philly and the proliferation of South Asian Americans into the legal profession.
SABA-Philly's gala is expected to draw over 200 attorneys and business leaders from Pennsylvania and the Tri-State area, including in-house counsel, private practitioners, public interest attorneys and influential leaders within the Philadelphia legal and business community.
This year's guests of honor will be Paul S. Grewal, vice president and deputy general counsel of Facebook Inc., and Rajiv L. Gupta, former chairman and chief executive officer of Rohm and Haas.
The gala is funded by the support of SABA-Philly's list of sponsors, from law firms to corporate businesses that are committed to promoting and retaining diversity in the legal profession.

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young partners Michael W. Mundt, Steve Feinour and Joel Corriero presented a webcast on the new exchange-traded fund rule.
The webcast, "How the New ETF Rule Changes the Regulatory Landscape," discussed the key features of new Rule 6c-11 under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and changes to related disclosure requirements.
Mundt works in the area of ETFs. He assists clients with all phases of the complex regulatory process required to introduce and operate index-based and actively managed ETFs, as well as next generation exchange-traded products.
More generally, he counsels investment advisers and investment companies on a range of issues arising under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and other federal securities laws.
Feinour focuses his practice on counseling investment companies and investment advisers in connection with various regulatory, compliance and transactional issues.
He regularly advises clients on matters such as the formation, registration and ongoing regulation of investment companies, including index-based and actively managed ETFs. He is also a frequent speaker on ETF related topics.
Corriero primarily counsels investment companies, including ETFs, mutual funds, variable insurance funds and closed-end funds, and investment advisers on regulatory and compliance matters.
For investment companies, particularly ETFs, he advises on all aspects of the representation, including creation, listing and continued compliance with both the federal securities laws and exchange listing rules.
Corriero also has experience in the negotiation of authorized participant agreements for transactions in ETF shares.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
