Elected and Appointed

Laffey, Bucci & Kent announced that founding attorney Brian Kent was named to the board of The National Crime Victim Bar Association.

An affiliate and program of the National Center for Victims of Crime, the bar association is the nation's only organization of attorneys and expert witnesses dedicated to helping victims of crime seek justice through the civil court system.

As a former sex crimes unit prosecutor, Kent advocates for justice for all crime victims.

Prior to entering the civil arena, he worked as an assistant district attorney in Montgomery County, where he prosecuted sex offenders.

Kent also serves as a child advocate for Montgomery Child Advocacy Project and is a member of the American Association of Justice.

Kent serves on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, a nonprofit organization that works to exonerate those convicted of crimes they did not commit and to prevent innocent people from being convicted.

Kent is a lecturer in trial advocacy at Temple University Beasley School of Law and an adjunct professor at Drexel University Kline School of Law.
